"LIFE IS A HIGHWAY"
A wrong turn into a school pick-up lane recently reminded me of a Saturday afternoon many years ago, a little girl named Audrey, and the "primal terror" of a mall bathroom run.
We often overlook the tiny, daily heroics of parenting—the endless buckling of seatbelts and the solving of a thousand small crises between school and home. I may not be a parent, but after surviving the pick-up lane, my admiration for those who are has never been higher.
